An Active Cognitive Therapy
I primarily use a cognitive behavioral approach, which is an empirically-supported approach that is proven to be effective for many disorders and issues, depression,
and anxiety.
It is practical, structured, solution-focused, collaborative, and time-limited.
I use the word "active" because therapy is a process that requires participation and cognitive behavioral therapy incorporates assignments to try between sessions.
I offer the opportunity to do walking therapy, rather than sitting in an office. There are plenty of walking paths in the area that we can utilize. However, meeting in the office is always an option.
My practice is open and welcoming to people from all walks of life.
